GOALS

The purpose of the Diversity Coalition is to creatively connect the diverse cultures of Aberdeen, South Dakota.
To accomplish this, the members of this organization have identified four main goals:
  1. To discern unmet needs and link new residents, especially refugees and immigrants, with available community resources and opportunities;
  2. To partner with community organizations providing information on "how Aberdeen works" to the newer residents;
  3. To assist in the development of cross-cultural experiences;
  4. To identify and work with cultural leaders to promote dialogue and advance understanding.
